Judith Trumbo has been named transitional planning director at RMH. This is a new position created to oversee the transition of the organization as it prepares to move to its new campus in 2010.

In this role, Trumbo will coordinate the numerous operational and process changes necessary for the organization to move and function successfully in its new facility and location.

“RMH is entering the transitional planning phase,” said Rick Haushalter, RMH vice president, operations. “Some initiatives may be quick to implement, while others will be broad-reaching and will take all the time leading up to the move to fully implement.”

Dennis Coffman, RMH facilities planning and development director, said Trumbo’s role will help ensure a smooth transition to the new facility.

“There could be as many as 50 teams working on this project,” Coffman said. “As transitional director, Judith will ensure these teams are unified. Her piece is very important, because RMH must assess how it functions today and how it should prepare to function in a new environment. That way every team member of RMH is getting ready for the transition at the same time the building is getting ready.”

Trumbo said, “I am honored to work with the team preparing to transition to our new hospital and health campus. As RMH stands poised for a second century of service to our community, this task requires intense planning, discipline, and tenacity and will require commitment from all of us to make it successful.”

Trumbo had served as director of RMH Home Health since 1988 and as director of Home and Community Health since 2004.  She earned a master’s degree in business administration from James Madison University in 1989 and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in November 1982.
